Rounded Post Corners
The Z-post contains smooth, rounded post edges and corners mitigating the risk and severity of fractures and/or contusions.
Shielded Posts
The Z-post system positioning the top of the rail above the posts. This eliminates dangerous snag points, reducing the potential for the barrier to dismount motorcyclists or cyclists.
Narrow width
By replacing the packer piece with the direct lock in system not only provide the stronger connection between the longitudinal W-Beam to Z-post and also reduce the width of the guardrail to provide a grater recovery width for the errant vehicles.
Faster Installation
The Z-Post system designed without packer piece and the shallow embedment depth of the Z-Post is reducing the installation time and manpower to probably half compare to the conventional guardrail system.

We executed software simulations utilizing a supercomputer to confirm that our MZ-Guard is both safe and compliant with the AASHTO M180 standard. The results of the simulations indicated that our MZ-Guard successfully absorbed impact energy and redirected the vehicle back on its intended path following a collision.
